Nye Main Stand har vært i bruk og gjennom sikkerhetsrutiner før første hjemmekamp.
For andre gang på fire dager har Liverpool-supportere fått se og prøve Anfields utvidede hovedtribune.
I forbindelse med godkjenning har langsiden Main Stand blitt brukt i to testarrangementer, der hensikten var å gå gjennom sikkerhetsrutiner.
Etter landslagspausen venter sesongens første hjemmekamp. Leicester kommer på besøk lørdag 10. september.

På utsiden av stadion er også supporterområdet nyoppusset. Fans har blant annet kunnet personliggjøre brosteiner, og plassen er gjort betraktelig mer åpen.
Alléen foran hovedtribunen, som knytter Walton Breck Road med Stanley Spark, skal hete 96 Avenue til ære for Hillsborough-ofrene. Dette er også området for minnesmerket får sin permanente plass.
Hjørnet hvor The Kop møter Main Stand har fått navnet Paisley Square.
